Hacking? I think everyone heard this word before. Hacking means someone access to the data or system that not belong to themselves. Some of the hackers just want to prove his ability and skill if they success to hack. But, most of them do this act for gaining illegal profits. There are many online hacking community that give tutorial on how to hack. The website that I found is House of Hackers. Try this website on your own risk. :-P

I heard one story from my friend. Few years ago, he invested in online fraudulent investment or known as “Ponzi Scheme”. This type of scheme involve paying abnormally high returns to investors out of the money from subsequent investors instead of real business investment! There are other similar scheme like “Pyramid scheme”, “Bubble” and so on.

What happened to him? He invested by using e-gold account (one of the internet payments method) to transfer fund. When he paid through the pop up page from the “Ponzi” website, all his money / e-gold gone! From that, he knew that his password was being stolen. After he checked back that website, againĀ  he found that the provided login page was fraud page. He was so regret! All those illegal investment websites must be managed by a group of hackers or bad guys! Luckily I didn’t follow him to do so.

As my own experience, I received many email that asked me to update my bank or credit card account. Of course, I didn’t update it because all those are spam websites that want to get my personal info! Right now, many banks showing the warning messages about those spam and illegal websites. Don’t be the victims from those email!

Is hacking so fun? For me, I disagree about it. That is good if hacking knowledge is applied on security protection. Most of the security companies need this expertise to develop perfect security system.
